On Wednesday, October 18th, the Woodburn Fire District welcomed Division Chief Jim Walker during a swearing-in ceremony held at the district’s monthly board of directors meeting. Chief Walker is filling a vacancy following the retirement of Division Chief Scott Heesacker.

Woodburn Fire District’s Alexander Weninger was promoted to lieutenant during a ceremony at the board of directors meeting earlier this month.

At the October meeting of the fire district board of Directors, Woodburn firefighters, 9-1-1 dispatchers and Woodburn Ambulance Service paramedics came together with a cardiac arrest survivor and his family to celebrate the actions taken that saved his life.

On Wednesday, September 20th the Woodburn Fire District welcomed two new firefighter paramedics to the fire district career staff.  Firefighter Tom Cally and Firefighter Jared Redmon have filled vacancies left by Lieutenant Mitchell Raines and Firefighter Tyson Gradwahl who recently accepted positions outside of Woodburn.

The Woodburn Fire District is pleased to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Jon Koenig to station captain.  The promotion ceremony was held during the September 20th fire district board meeting.

The burn ban for Marion County has been lifted as of noon on Monday, August 21, 2023.  Recreational fires and agricultural burning under DEQ and ODF restrictions are now allowed.  The following safeguards apply to recreational fires:
